Q: How do I get trained if Academy Accredited Programs and/or Fellows are not located in my area (State, Country)?

Examples of Scheduling for Training If you are a teacher with summers available, look for training that allows for coursework in the summer and practicum throughout the year with a Fellow through video or web based platform. If there are no Fellows or training programs near you, your option is to travel to receive training. If a group of teachers is in search of training the Academy will assist in locating a Fellow who travels to train. CLICK HERE FOR TRAINING INFORMATION

Q: How much does tutoring cost?

AOGPE is a certifying and accrediting body and does not set tutorial fees. Fee schedules vary from area to area. Financial arrangements are between the tutor and the client.

Q: Can a parent or an individual who does not have a bachelor’s degree get trained?

There is no rule to prevent a parent taking the class, this is at the discretion of the Fellow; however, the parent or participant who does not have a bachelor’s degree must understand that they will not be qualified to teach/tutor dyslexic students until they have a BA and have taken the practicum.
