Associate Level Training This course contains more than the required curricula for the Associate Level of the Orton-Gillingham Academy, including: characteristics of dyslexia, functions of the brain, psychological, sociological, educational factors; phonology, educational evaluation and informal screening; age appropriate teaching technique, history and structure of the English language. We have had experienced OGA members glean valuable information from even this course. Participants are strongly encouraged to complete a subsequent 100-hour practicum and application for Associate Membership in the Academy.
