The requirements of this course meet the standards of the Orton-Gillingham Academy at Associate Level Option B.
Course: 60 hours of course work on using Orton-Gillingham with individuals and an additional 10 hours instruction working with small groups instructed by a Fellow/OGA based on the Academy’s required curriculum at the Associate level, 100 hours in a supervised practicum teaching one-to-one and in small groups under the direction of a Fellow/OGA ( 50 hours working with individuals; 50 hours working with small groups), and 5 observations of individual tutoring; 5 with small groups. Course time: 70 hours (60 on instruction with individuals, 10 small groups) Practicum: 100 hours ( 50 hours individual, 50 small groups)
Observations: 10 (5 with individuals, 5 with small groups)
Prerequisites: Bachelor’s degree
