Orton-Gillingham Training – Classroom Educator. This 46 synchronous hours of coursework plus an additional 50 hour practicum fulfills the requirements of the Academy at the Classroom Educator Level. This course provides a rich collection of resources, including digital downloadable slides for each session, pre-recorded videos to extend learning, support materials, games, sample lesson plans, and recorded lessons. Attendees will have access to these materials for one month after the course ends, with the option to extend access. Practicum: A practicum can be arranged on an individual basis after successful completion of Classroom Educator coursework and assignments. A Classroom Educator level practicum consists of 50 hours supervised practicum over 8 consecutive months, minimum, which includes 5 observations of the trainee teaching complete lessons in a group (of at least 2 students) or classroom setting conducted by the Fellow.
