The Orton-Gillingham Associate Training coursework (64 hours) follows the standards and curricula set forth by the Orton-Gillingham Academy. The online coursework is conducted live via Zoom. This instruction provides trainees with the basics of the Orton-Gillingham Approach and will allow them to work 1:1 using the Orton-Gillingham Approach under the mentorship of a Fellow. All coursework materials are sent electronically. Upon successful completion of the course, trainees will be eligible to complete their practicum and then apply to the OGA for Associate level certification
Practicum: 100 hours supervised practicum over 8 consecutive months, with 10 remote observations performed by the Fellow.
Observations: Scheduled individually for an additional fee
Prerequisite: Bachelor’s Degree, fluency in the English Language, experience working with children
